MHC C&NN Earth Force Training

The Martinsville Henry County Children & Nature Network (MHC C&NN) is pleased to announce Earth Force Training for community members who work with local area youth.

June 10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Virginia Museum of Natural History
Suzanne M. Lacy Education Center

This training is for community members that work with local youth such as teachers, scout leaders, youth ministers, master naturalists, and master gardeners.

The goal of Earth Force is to give educators a way to guide children in identifying environmental issues within their community using proper problem solving processes. Earth Force focuses on environmental issues; however, it mixes environment with civic and service learning. Earth Force also helps facilitate an active learning environment for students.

The registration deadline is May 15. To register, visit http://www.vmnh.net/ and download a registration form.
