A Paddling Poem

What began as an outing for a party of five,
grew significantly as the river came alive.

Friends told friends and before we knew it,
seventeen folks showed up to do it!

Down the Smith the paddlers were sent,
and one by one over the rapids they went.

From Marrowbone to Mitchell's- a four mile trip,
the folks were ready for anything- even a flip.

All good things must come to an end,
but the friends all shouted "let's do it again!"

So join us again next Saturday at 10,
meet at Doe Run Access- let the fun begin!
